if the perimeter of a rectangular plot is 68 m and length of its diagonal is 26 m fin it area

if perimeter is 68, then
2L 2W = 68
L W = 34
W = 34 - L
and since diagonal is 26,
L W = 26
L (34 - L) = 26
L 34 - 68L L = 26
2L - 68L 480 = 0
L - 34L 240 = 0
(L - 24)(L - 10) = 0
so L = 24, W = 10 area = 240 or L = 10, W = 24, area = 240
