I would like to know what is the difference between a microbiologist and an infectious disease specialist in terms of what they do.
A microbiologist may deal with many things that have nothing to do with diseases. Microbiologists might study bacteria in the ocean, in the soil, in the atmosphere or anywhere else. The vast majority of bacteria are not pathogenic.
