Using integration, how do you determine the volume of a frustum of a right circular cone?
We have to use the concept of v=(integral from b to a) A(x)dx to determine the volume of a frustum of a right circular cone with height h, lower base radius R and top radius r. I did it a few times, and got slightly different answers, so I know I
Physics: You reach out a second story window 5m above sidewalk, throw a 0.1kg ball up with 6J of kinetic ener?
What is the balls gravitational energy when it is released?
What is the balls gravitational energy just before hitting the sidewalk?
What is the balls kinetic energy just before hitting the sidewalk?
How would the answer to (C) change if the ball has initially been thrown straight down with 6J of kinetic energy?
I cant figure out what formulas to use??? Help
KE = ()mV...kinetic energy
PE = mgh...gravitational potential energy
at [t = 0]PE = mgh
PE = (0.1)(9.8)(5)
PE = 4.9 Joules

at [t = impact]PE = (0.1)(9.8)(0) = 0 Joules

at [t = impact]all of the ball

Write the complex number in rectangular form round to the nearest tenth?
4(cos 5/6 i sine 5/6)
You want to have an answer in the form a bi, where a and b are real numbers.
a = rcos and b = rsin
Here, r = 4 and = 5/6
.. a = 4cos(5/6) = 4(-(3)/2) = -2(3)
b = 4sin(5/6) = 4(1/2) = 2
.. 4(cos 5/6 i sine 5/6) = -2(3) 2i
Note: Instead of writing 4(cos 5/6 i sine 5/6), you can use the abbreviated version rcis, where the

Explanation for the black background in Space?
I would like a scientific explanation to why any picture of Earth and/or Moon portrays a completely pitch black view of the cosmos.
Thanks.
On the pictures you saw, the Earth or the Moon are brightly lit by the Sun. This means that the camera has to adjust to the bright light, so it used a short exposure time. Stars are very faint, and the camera would have to use a long exposure to get them to show.

There are some pictures of the night side of the Earth, and some stars are visible.

Can I dig a well to get lava to heat my room?
Lava? Depends on where you are and how thick the crust is beneath you.
But if you just want to use a geothermal heat pump, you can go down 6 - 10 feet, and the ground temperature will stabilize between 45 - 70F. Doesn

To what point can Nebulae photos be considered realistic?
It is of common knowledge that nebulae photos are of magnificent beauty.
Yet, considering the size and form of most of these cosmic clouds, how is it that they are portrayed in such high quality and definition?
Objects are realistic, colours can be realistic or representative (false-colour).
Realistic colours are obtained by taking black
